Oh my! I enjoyed this a lot! Yay! It's super chill and has all the great things I like about a story. This is also my first book from Julie, so I'll be reading all her stories soon. Ama is fun, crazy in a good way, and also relatable to me. I was super naïve when I was younger and always wanted to see the good in people, but some people didn't deserve it, like Ama to Whitney. I also liked the fact that Elliot narrated the past, while Ama talked about the present, and a bit of the past. This book inspired me to write better stories that people can enjoy. Anyway, the characters are pretty interesting, too. Laura, the ML's mom, the influencer bride, Ama's mom, and a pack of half-siblings. Of course, Ama doesn't want to commit because her mom married a lot, but is willing to reconsider for the right one. That's so romantic in so many ways. Thank you, Julie!

“You may think everything ends one day, but you haven’t had ‘everything’ with me.”

This book has been popular last year so I'm a year late with the read and I finally understood what the craze was about. The one and most important piece that I love so much about this book is the dual POV and timeline. Julie Soto wrote this book in a way where the present timeline is Ama's POV while the past timeline is Elliot's POV. It's a second chance romance, so you're really intrigued as to why these two broke up because they were clearly captivated with one another - like hello? Who can get past Elliot's grumpy behavior but Ama, right?

It's really fascinating to see and understand people's perspective when it comes to marriage such as how one is adamant to not get married because of her mother's 16 marriages. Although, it's pretty ironic how this book is set in a way where these two main characters had to work together for a wedding since Ama is wedding planner while Elliot is a florist. With their past relationship, you can see the struggle of being in each other's presence.

It's a really cute and quick-read for a second chance romance. I just wish that there's more to the story than meets the eye because it's pretty predictable. Other than that, it's a good read!

For this book, I opted to not annotate, just to get the feel of reading without taking a second to write on the book. I was experimenting how much faster I would be if I annotate or not and I've realized that it's almost the same. Maybe in one book, it's an additional hour or so just to annotate, so I'm still going to annotate books that I feel like it would be a book I've thoroughly enjoy more when I wrote down my feelings.

I was mostly bored by this book. Spent more time trying to understand why it was so popular than actually engage in the story.

this is probably the best dual timeline story i've read. i really liked how in the present, it was all ama's pov but the past was all elliot's pov. it just made the story better in my opinion. i also really liked the whole wedding planning aspect - like it was just a fun time. i also loved all of ama's ex-step-siblings and wish we had more on-page interaction between them. i honestly had a great time reading. it was funny, it was hot, and it made me tear up a few times ngl.
