This is a book of tweets, not a book of poetry. This is a collection of scattered thoughts, a waste of paper, and it feels like it wasn't even edited. I read it fully at the bookstore without even purchasing it. Any metaphor present is weak and pedestrian. Offers nothing insightful, and I felt bad that something like "Emotions are such a complex concept to understand" was considered a full, complete poem, and that an entire page was wasted on printing it out. Do not read this. If you are new to poetry, pick something better. Read something by an actual poet who won't waste your time.

Really enjoyed the poetry in this, there was alot of poems about heartbreak which were really good, However I'm not heartbroken so I didn't completely relate but if there's a time in the future where I'm heartbroken I know which poetry to read

It's the first time that I actually enjoyed reading poetry. It was a very emotional journey but I am glad I picked up this book at the store. I couldn't put it down ❤️

2am Thoughts are exactly that, thoughts of the author at different times. I liked the concept, but unfortunately it just didn't work for me. I picked up this book because I was looking for a light read to relax, and I always enjoy poetry for this, but this time it's just didn't deliver, even with not high expectations.

"Modern poetry" it's always tricky for me, and even if I like it very few books have been right for me. I haven't read [b:Milk and Honey|23513349|Milk and Honey|Rupi Kaur|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1491595510s/23513349.jpg|43116473] but I did read [b:The Sun and Her Flowers|35606560|The Sun and Her Flowers|Rupi Kaur|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1499791446s/35606560.jpg|57044162] and hoped to find some good poems on that style on this book too. But between the writing style and the themes of 2am Thoughts, it just wasn't for me. There were some lines I liked but were opaqued for lots more. The message was supposed to be "self love" but I just found the "why do I even want life if I don't have romantic love". Not for me at all.

The book was very repetitive and read like a bunch of sad cliche tweets, not my favorite poetry but if you are new to poetry its an easy read.
