Well, I read all three books, hoping the writing would improve. The story is constantly interrupted by whatever sex scene can be whipped up next. It seemed like the author used the Karma Sutra page by page to come up with something. I'm not opposed to sex and romance. It's just all of it was so repetitive, overdone, laughable. Roll-your-eyes boring after a short while. It forces you to start skimming. Literally, nothing got done within the storyline due to the constant sex scene interruptions and no exaggeration that it happened every other page. Very poor and disappointing, choppy writing.

Probably my favorite of the series so far. Lots of spicy scenes, but mostly just loved how the story progressed and the growth we saw in Persephone. So excited for Game of Gods!!

Brought me back what I missed in the second book! The combination between plot & smut/romance was so much more graceful (where before the plot honestly just felt a bit unnecessary) and I feel like we've finally gotten to action-filled parts, especially with that ending! Hades and Persephone were so sweet in this book and I love that their wasn't a lot of drama in their own relationship, just drama from outside. I don't want to spoil anything but gosh, that one plot point just made go 🥰🥰🥰. This is such a fun & intriguing universe and I'd love books about more of the other gods (who am I kidding, I just have a massive crush on Hecate).

I just remembered that I hoped we'd see more of Hades' criminal underworld and while that didn't happen in a big extent we got dark!/spicy!Hades instead and honestly I'm not mad about that. I do wish Hades was more involved in the plot sometimes tho! Hades & Persephone often give off Ken & Barbie vibes, with him just being there to worship her (but also not really complaining here) (need myself a man like that)

This series just keeps getting better - the direction of the plot is so addictive!! It’s fantastic! The ending was 🤯

Persephone’s relationship with Hades still has me hooked - I thought by book 3 I would be tired of them together but St Clair has done a great job of keeping us invested.

Again though, the spice was just meh. There were a few moments that were hot but it’s not really doing anything for me, at times it feels constant. Thank god the plot is great and the characters are fantastic!!

Tbh, this book was hard to get through. The end had me on my toes, but up until then it was a chore. There was a ton of repetition (esp. in the smutty scenes), which made it feel really boring. I loved her book King of Battle and Blood, so I'm just not sure how this series got so far away from that.

Wow wow. I loved this book especially the last quarter of it. It made me so happy and hopeful and cry and heartbroken. It kept me at the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next.
Hades and Persephone’s wedding was so endearing and I’m so happy they finally got married. Not sure how I feel about this potential pregnancy trope coming up. They were hinting at it so hard and bringing it up so many times that I would find it very hard to believe if it isn’t in the next book. Also, I wish there was more fight scenes with the Olympians! It ended so abruptly and then all the drama with Sybil and Theseus happened. And wow my heart hurt when Zofie went to save them from Theseus and was killed. Ughhhh I thought we were just getting into her storyline and friendship with Persephone for her to die too soon. Then Persephone killing Demeter wowwww. I figured something would happen to make her stop but I thought they may have a heart to heart instead of her killing her mom… wow she is going to be so messed up after this war.
