Richard " I gave you my heart too, Katie. Will you keep it as well?" VanRyan 😭😭😭❤❤❤

I was not prepared to be emotionally wrecked when I pressed play. I did not expect to end up with a massive heartache at the end 💔 and certainly never imagined such heavy and burning tears falling down my eyes when Richard finally uttered those three little words to Katie, yet here I am 😭❤❤ the book has a happy ending, but it literally tore me to pieces and assembled them back up. Such a beautiful and emotional experience ❤

It was hard to believe Richard's transformation. I honestly wouldn't have thought a man like him could ever change. Had I not known the plot of the book, I would've gone on thinking the guy was irredeemable. His character truly made hating him effortless. But I liked the development brought to him after the marriage contract was signed ❤ he'd had such a lonely childhood  💔 no warmth, no affection, no one showing him he mattered or deserved to be happy. Richard grew up to be emotionless and apathetic, which was not surprising knowing the environment he was born and raised in 😞
Hearing him talk about his regret for hurting the very woman who later taught him how to love and be loved was honestly a tear-jerker 😭❤

Katharine was many things, but a doormat? That, she was NOT! The amount of 💩 she received from douche-Chard was RIDICULOUS 🤦🏻‍♀️ how she put up with his rude, bull-headed a$$ was beyond me! Had I been in her shoes I'd have probably dropped the F-bomb a LOT sooner 🤣 Sadly, her childhood years weren't any brighter than his 💔 she spent a period of her life in the streets. Were it not for Penny, the lady she'd grown to care for as family, she would have undoubtedly perished due to famine and lack of human necessities 😭😭😭 Although her rough start in life, Katie was such a kind and patient soul and it was so heartwarming to see her finally receive her happy ending ❤
