This is such a sweet small-town romance. Sophie and Holden are lovable characters with minor(ish) quirks who embark on a marriage of convenience for the sake of their careers. Full of the lovely characters we expect out of Adriana Locke's small-town romances, and hardly any ferret poop. Perfect light read for a rainy day.

Welcome to Honey Creek! What an amazing start to a new series! I have been so excited to read this one! Adriana Locke is on my 1-click author list for many reasons, but first and foremost how her stories are always centered around family. Don’t get me wrong there are so many more amazing things about this story but to me the relationships the characters have with there families make them who they are.

Sophie and Holden spent their summers growing up with each other they were best friends. Flash forward to now, Holden comes to town to help out his grandad and the sparks fly.

Pick up this book, get sucked into the Honey Creek world of characters, it seems like such a fun place. I didn’t want to leave. Adriana has written a beautiful love story that you are going to love! I know that I did!

Super sweet and I enjoyed it…but this is a case where I wish the book had been longer and the relationship could have developed a bit more.

This book was a cute quick read. Just what I needed. Hoping that soon there will be more to come in this series.

I really liked this, but it was way too short. The characters knew each other from when they were kids, but I was kind of missing their connection from the present. The author could’ve added 150 pages of them getting to know each other and I wouldn’t have anything to complain about. Break up was stupid, but understandable.

Is this kind of cheesy and hallmark movie on a page? Yes. Did I love almost every second of it? Also yes.
The stakes were low and the story sickly sweet but I fell hook, line and sinker. There were moments where the emotional beats were perfect and I teared up a few times at the selflessness of Sophie's love and I just wanted to shake the pair of them to look beyond what is being said out loud!! The story was so sweet, but the side characters were a touch dull, the ending rushed, and I did skim read a few pages here and there when the pacing slowed down a touch too much.
'sweet' encapsulates the entire story; it's cute, romantic, a quick read
