A beautifully illustrated book that conveys a message of love of your job, and how your job can be your life in a good way. More books about important and interesting women, please...

Pretty good children's picture book biography. A bit too many words for a picture book. And didn't grab me as much as some. So came off more interesting than compelling. The art was good enough but not great. Not bad, but was hoping for just a little more. 3.5 of 5.

As someone who has dived into a bio-diverse lake, the idea of living underwater and experiencing what Sylvia did is wondrous to me. This short retelling of her life and passion was easy to follow logically and is sure to encourage curiosity for budding naturalists. I think this would be a good recommendation for kids who enjoy the outdoors whether for enjoyment or education.

Wonderful biography of Sylvia Earle. Beautiful illustrations. Consider for Earth Day or study of women in science. Marvelous author's note.

An overview of the life of Sylvia Earle, woman oceanographer, with gorgeous, detailed paintings of sea life and her as the tiny swimming figure among them; author's note expands on her life. Has a strong "save the oceans" feel to it, nice ecological message for kids, but not too preachy. Inspiring for girls interested in the sciences.

While I would recommend this book, I do think the author could’ve gone a bit more in depth, and include more info on her accomplishments, and the struggles she faced as a woman in a male dominated profession.

I wish this was longer! Listened to it as an audiobook and it was only 20ish minutes long. Sylvia Earle sounds sick and incredibly inspiring. I want to hear more!!

Sylvia Earle loved the water and all the life in water...ponds, creeks...and then she discovered the ocean. This book would inspire youngsters to follow their passions, and to create a living from their passions.

I'd never heard of Sylvia Earle before this children's biography of her. I love how well the author communicated the way Earle was so excited about observing marine creatures. Nice illustrations, too.
