I usually like Poe and it was cool to know how influential this was in the history of crime writing, but…it was kind of a dull read. Basically just a bunch of monologuing about a crime—too much tell, not enough show for my taste.

Not the biggest fan of the way Murders in the Rue Morgue ends. It feels rushed and too unbelievable to actually be possible.
