I enjoyed this book immensely ! It was packed with all the elements of a fast paced Sci-Fi novel, as well as the magic of a fairy tale. This reselling of Cinderella is twisted just enough to have you second-guessing a lot of the time, and it was just over all an amazing read! 4 stars!

3.5. I feel like the pacing was a little off, as well as some issues I had with Cinder's character. The Lunars weren't developed enough and thus I was turned off by them a lot. The "big reveal" near the end I saw a mile away and was just waiting for it to be announced. That being said, it was a clever adaptation of the classic fairy tale, and I loved all the subtle little references.

2,5 en realidad.
Tiene sus momentos y se lee rápido, pero en general me ha parecido todo muy superficial y me importa bastante poco lo que vaya a pasar con cualquiera de los personajes.

I’ll start by saying I’m not a Cinderella fan. There was only one point in this book where I got the “oh he picked me” feels which is the only small bit of Cinderella I like. They nailed the evil step mother character and the rest was bland. They story was one big trope and i think I’ve come to the decision that I’m totally over stories with Royalty. I should have read this back when I first wanted to in 2012 and I think I would have enjoyed it much more then. Safe to say I won’t be continuing with this series.

So.. Cinder... I can't help but feel a little disappointed after all the amazing things I heard about this book. The plot itself was original, but it was kinda predictable. I didn't find myself really surprised or gasping or anything.
However, I did enjoy reading it, and I will certainly continue on in this series. I just hope that Scarlet will have much more plotpoints and development, because in Cinder, I felt like everything was spelled out. I just hope that was because this is the first book in the series, and with a complete new world to get to know.
