I really enjoyed this read. After reading ACOMAF, I was wondering if this one would live up to that book. It’s a tall order, but I thoroughly enjoyed this.

I enjoyed that this book had a lot more politics involved, with all of the courts involved and getting to learn their backstories.

I’m interested to see what happens with the other queen and also Tamlin. Even though he had some redemption this book, he’s still not a great person and deserved what happened to him and that he lost everything.

Really happy with Nesta’s character arc this book and really liked getting to know her more as a character. I feel like we still haven’t really gotten to see Elain so we’ll see how her story progresses in the next few books.

Spoiler The ending had me sobbing when their dad showed up with the 3 ships and at his death. I will say, I felt almost.. disappointed that everyone else lived?? Like, there needed to be a larger sacrifice, something super heart wrenching. I really thought she was going to leave Amren gone. I knew Rhys wasn’t going anywhere so while it was hard to read, I wasn’t overly worried. I was pretty sure either Cassian or Azriel would be casualties and was surprised Maas wrote everyone to live.

I’m so deep into this world now, but also a bit confused by it.

The magic system and history of everyone and everything can be confusing and convoluted. There’s so much to remember! I do appreciate the deeply fleshed world, but there is a lot to it for the reader.

But—the characters are what makes this book come alive. Witty, unpredictable, and truly lovable. THEIR stories are so good and heartbreaking. This book was devastating, romantic, and heartbreaking all in one. If you’ve already grown attached to the characters, you will love this addition.

Spoiler

I do find it interesting that no main characters ever d*e. They’re pulled so close to the edge… but always somehow make it out. Breaking my heart just to put it back together again….

WOWWWW this took me so long to finish, but in my defense I lost steam after Mist and Fury as I felt like nothing could top it. The beginning of this was really slow, middle picked up a little bit and the end absolutely SLAPPED ME in my face. Mist and Fury is still my favorite but this one was really good too.

I'm not going to lie, I don't even remember most of the first half of this book. I've been reading this since February and it's August hahahahahahahaaahaa but I do remember my FAVORITE scene in this entire book which was when
Spoiler Lucien and Feyre are running from Lucien's shitty brothers in the Autumn Court and get cornered on an ice lake and CASSIAN AND AZRIEL LAND TO SAVE THEM AND CASSIAN GOES "I suggest you drop my lady."
THE SCREAM I SCRUMPT!!!

BUTTTT this book takes the cake for sure on making me cry the most out of the entire series so far. Everything after the war starts was just flooding straight from my eyeballs. Couldn't stop even if I tried AND it made it hard to read. I don't think I breathed for 10 chapters. I'm excited for this novella with no mean or sad or upsetti spaghetti things in it because I need a friggin break.

This book was amazing! A Court Of Mist And Fury was better, but I LOVED this book (which tells you how much I loved ACOMAF lol)!!!
Spoiler
I was very wary when the book started with Feyre back in the Spring court, but honestly, the way she acted & everything she did while there was so badass!! She has really come into her own since ACOTAR, and I think all the thanks goes to Rhysand, who treats her like a man should treat a girl, like a partner! He doesn’t try & control anything she does, or treat her like she’s nothing but a prize. Rhysand is the kind of guy any women would want! New Book Boyfriend for the win!!

You got to know Feyre & Rhysand in ACOMAF, while they got to know each other & figured out who they were for themselves, & to each other. But in ACOWAR, you get to watch them shine as the badass people & couple that they are! You get to see how they complete each other, & love each other. It’s like a dream!
& the rest of the characters are just as amazing! Azriel, Cassian, Mor, Amren; the 6 of them make a family & I love how they all trust & love each other!
I could go on & on with reasons why I love these characters, but then this review, would be a 10 page essay! Lol
So I’ll just leave it with: READ IT FOR YOURSELF! You’ll fall in love with them too!!! 💜

Also, Tamlin Sucks! Idk why I ever liked him?! 🤦🏻‍♀️
Spoiler I’m just glad he did the right thing in the end!
