Not only was I able to continue my Halloween tradition of reading a Bunnicula book, but I got to make a Bunnicula pumpkin (that turned out pretty great, I might add), AND my grandma started reading them too! Every year, I fall in love with these books all over again. They're so smart and funny and just a little bit scary. A perfect Halloween (or any time of the year) read!

Please be sure to read the Editor's Note in every story by James Howe as it is part of the story...too funny. Great book for children and adults and for the same reasons. Everything is seen from the perspective of Harold, the older dog, and you can't help but laugh and recognize the truisms of how dogs view the world, the detached outlook about children, the naiveté of Howie, the younger dog, and the gullibility of Chester, the cat.
