A really great sense of scope in this one with some truly compelling characters to boot.

Builds up to an unbelievable climax on the throneworld that... you don't get to see because you're supposed to buy a sourcebook too.

A good book, but the 3 different storylines that constantly alternate can get a little confusing until you figure it who is who. Once you've locked down which name belongs to which person though, it's a good book!

The story takes place fairly recently in the 40k timeline, and you get to read about the current leadership on Terra and watch a large scale battle unfold. But that's everything all give away.

Beginner fans of 40k books might want to wait to read this one as it relies on quite a bit of previous knowledge.
