This was inexplicably great. A book that is seemingly for a niche audience, obsessively concerned with minutiae, and extremely technical still managed to not make me feel stupid and did make me feel good about people. And the familiarity of ranching, cowboys, and cowboy tradition was a sweet bonus. Equally perfect for hardcore nonfiction and western fans alike.
