I thought this book was really good the only hang-up I had was I thought it was too rushed, I could have read another 100 pages just to build on the character's connections/ foundation. I thought how they got together so fast was just too quick and at some spots, scarlet's thinking was seemingly forgotten like I would have liked to see her internal struggle about wanting to run away and planning something only to choose them. Her choice to stay seemed like an afterthought to the author.

The spice was really good just too much too quick is all I can say usually the love interests build-up to the level of "comfortability" I'll call it, for scarlet and Seb's first time together. Same thing in the office scene with Tristen just too much between them too quick.

So far Eliot's and scarlets development is going well but I would like more cute/ small meaningful moments so when he finally gets with her it makes a bit more sense than just she's hot and around.

Overall I recommend it to those who love fighting, strong FMCs, reverse harem and crime families/ found family tropes. I rate this book 3.5 stars.

I truly think the books in this series build. I loved the first book and I loved this one even more. I read it in just about a day it was amazing. It is dark and trying and a little sick but so addicting.
okay so what happened - the Triad made it to rescue Scarlet. Elliot started out thinking she was the mole but came around and is very kinky. There was a three way between Tristan, Sebastian, and Scarlet. New safe house as a present Tristan and (more so) Sebastian brought Scarlets bff Kenna there. Scarlet’s cousin is back from Romania and being groomed to run the family business. They schedule a meeting. Turns out Elliot was right he was kinda a double agent on that. Boom not cousins - siblings. Massacre in the front yard. Finn who likes Kenna takes a bullet for her. The brother tried to take Scarlet with the Dad and Sebastian gets shot twice and kills their dad - dead. Cliff hanger: will Sebastian and/or Finn live. AND the brother wanted to be on Scarlets side but he couldn’t yet because of their dad. He was planning to let Scarlet kill him but Sebastian did it now. And now the brother can’t stop a war from breaking out between the family and the Triad since they killed the family’s leader. <spoiler/> I am immediately getting the next book so I can read it. I truly cannot get enough of these books.

To say I loved this book was an understatement I read it in just a few hours. There is never a dull or slow moment in the book. Even the less eventful times were still so interesting and I couldn’t put it down.
I love their little harem. I love how Sebastian is the sweetheart but also marksman with sniper aim. Then there Tristan who is the leader he is firm but caring and again a soft spot for Scarlett. Finally Elliot who is a hard ass and does not care about Scarlett or so he says. But slowly we see his adoration for her grow and grow. The fact that they are all sickly perfect for each other. Like the scene in the warehouse that was weirdly erotic but also surrounded by so many murdered bodies. Also I love that Scarlett has different relationships and sexual relationships with each of them. Im expecting those relationship to become more intertwined in the next book. The fact that people found Scarlett and schemed to get the guys away at the end wow.  I can’t believe that melody was killed. That is heart breaking. And now the guys are to go to the warehouse and save her. Talk about a cliff hanger. When I was coming close to the end I was like umm Scarlett is being kidnapped and I’m 90% done weird. AHH now onto the next book because I need to see what happens.

Awe the first reverse harem I ever read, loved doing a reread. I would like to personally thank Dana for introducing me to reverse harems back in August, I haven’t been the same since then.

I love Scarlett, like with my whole heart. She’s a badass without being extremely annoying like other RH MC’s I’ve read so I loved that. The boys were amazing, I mean are we shocked? No. Sebastian, Tristan, and Elliot are the basic types you’ll find in a RH with one being extra broody and harder to understand, the one “in charge” who is usually the level headed one, and then there’s the one who’s extra friendly with our MC but would kill anyone else…so ya know normal. Again, I loved them all.

After reading some other RH after this one, I’ve realized the smut comes pretty quick compared to others. It’s definitely not a slow burn so that takes a whole book to get to the first guy. We get there real quick. If you’re a fan of quick smut you’ll definitely like this. I tend to like my smut a bit slower to let the angst go one longer but hey I still enjoyed it all the same.

I’m really liking the world that we are in. We get introduced to several groups involved in the organized crime world and I’m expecting to see more development in the next book. Since it is the first book and it’s less than 100 pages we only got the basic information but it was enough to have me intrigued. Like hello, Scarlett’s family has me wondering what the hell they are doing.

Honestly, this was really fast passed and just a fun time. I’m so happy I found this book because I never would have been introduced to the genre without it.
