Absolutely a must read for those of you who like or even love dark RH reads. For this to be a debut book for this arthur she sure knows how to tell a story and one that has you glued to the pages. Scarlett has been on the run hiding from her family and just so happens to be in the right place at the right time when The Triad show up looking for her. Why are they looking for her? Why is she hiding from her family? You'll just have read it to find out.

I would’ve liked this book more if Scarlet wasn’t the most insufferable person on Earth. She says she “never liked having female friends because they’re too bratty and bitchy” (girl, are you describing yourself?). She’s a pick-me and “so petite and small but I can eat so much!” and generally one of the worst FMC I’ve suffered through. The book itself is fine, it’s written like a Wattpad story, which is fine if you want something easy and fun but don’t expect literary genius. There are so many plot holes that I rolled my eyes at (they instantly trust the daughter of their rival gang because she sleeps with them? they make her the head of their IT department without asking for her resume or doing anything besides sleeping with her????), but overall the book was a nice little break for my brain. There is almost no romance or actual emotional connection, it’s 100% just smut and them being obsessed with her. 0 emotional depth from anyone involved. I might have rated it higher if Scarlet wasn’t on my nerves the entire time.
Graphic: Gun violence, Misogyny, Torture, Violence, and Kidnapping
Minor: Sexual assault
There is a sexual assault mentioned but it is stopped before anything happens, it can definitely be triggering because of the situation but the sexual assault does not happen.evanbevibing's review against another edition

I really loved this book and CANNOT believe this was Dana’s first novel!
This was not only an amazing start to her being a published author but an amazing start to this series. I’m not going to go too far into depth here but here are a few key things to know about this book:
1.) Scarlet’s family are assholes.
2.) The men in this book are hot af.
3.) Scarlet is an absolute badass.
4.) you NEED to read this book.
I cannot wait for the next book because I am panting just thinking about Elliot being unleashed.

This book is insane! If you're expecting a plot heavy book without bloodthirsty characters, this is not the one for you. But if you're like me and love lots of detailed sex and a good reverse harem this one will hit the spot. Scarlet has been trained to take over the family business but in her world the business is not run by women. When her family tries to have her killed Scarlet runs. A rival gang known as The Triad comes for Scarlet intending to use her as leverage but quickly the boys realize they don't really want to let her go. This book is unhinged and I love it. I never know where she's going to take it. Not to mention how hot the scenes are. These books are not ones you go into for the plot. We love them because they give us a fun, fast paced story that you flip through quickly.
Sebastian, Tristan, and Elliot all come to adore Scarlet and will do anything to protect her. Even if that means going up against her family. I have to admit I wasn't a fan of Elliot at first but he grew on me. I don't want to say to much and spoil it for anyone. But Dana is quickly becoming on of my my auto buy authors. I really have been enjoying everything I have read so far. Her books don't take themselves to seriously. They are fun and raunchy and well written. For this being Dana's debut book, but not the first that I have read of hers I was impressed. I love a really great dark romance and I got that in spades. If you haven't read any of Dana's I definitely recommend it. Especially if you love kink.
