The writing was a little simple but it was a good, quick read. I figured out who it was when they finally got the police involved.

This book spits on plausibility, but the premise is interesting and the plot moves along with twists and turns and everything you'd expect from a thriller. Read it for fun, and you'll have a hard time putting it down. It won't change your life, but it will entertain you for a few hours.

I read this book awhile ago so I can't really recall many details but what I do remember is that I loved it. This was one of the first "thriller" novels I read so I was very new to the genre. Could that have clouded my judgment? Maybe, but what I do know is that this book is wild, its crazy, a little far-fetched, but for some reason it worked. I remember racing through and completely devouring this book. I've said it before and I'll say it again, sometimes you just like a book for no reason except that you do. So that's that.

I may come back to this later. It was recommended by a friend, but I wasn't able to get into it.

Excellent thriller! Very exciting and fast paced. Basically the story sets up with a couple that finds out the wife has cancer, their cheap insurance doesn't cover the medicine and treatment she needs. Well the husband, who is good with computers, figures out to steal an identity that has good insurance coverage. Well, they chose the wrong person to steal the identity from and the story plays out from there. Very good book!

This book is completely insane and I mean that in the best possible way. Like most good suspense/thriller novels, this is not one to begin at night. It's not particularly scary (although there are definitely parts that are more unsettling than others) but it's nearly impossible to stop reading once you start. This is basically the literary equivalent of potato chips. There's no such thing as just reading one chapter.

I fell in love with John and Ruby immediately and completely sympathized with their situation. Yes, it's insurance fraud and technically stealing, but if you love someone, how can you let them die? Unfortunately, that first step into a moral gray area led to more steps into decidedly blacker zones. And while the insurance fraud could be considered justifiable, almost nothing else John does could fall into that category. He's not as bad as he could be, granted, but he is breaking the law either way.

But either way, I loved John and Ruby. And even as they're getting deeper and deeper into trouble, I rooted for things to work out for them. Because given everything that they went through, I just wanted her to go into remission and for him to somehow get away with it.

If you love Harlan Coben, you'll love Stolen. I can't wait to read his first two books.
