Great book but PLS PLS PLS read trigger warnings. I went into this book thinking it was going to be a cute sports romance… BOY WAS I WRONG. This book is so emotional. I was on a roller coaster. I felt like I was screaming for air reading this. I cried so many tears bc I know this is the reality for many women.

Loved the writing and the development of the characters. I honestly just wasn’t expecting it to get so dark!!! Like this was not what I was expecting but it made the ending so worth the journey.

I loved this book but please take a moment to inform yourself on the potentially triggering content within—as it is graphic and described in detail (particularly with regard to SA and DV). Also, it isn’t listed as an option, but reproductive abuse/control as well.

My only fear about the story is that someone reading without properly educating themselves on domestic violence will inappropriately romanticize the story.

I wouldn't stay I went into this book blind because I knew the trigger warnings but, the way this book had me in a wired bind of emotions was a different story. There was no details that wasn't held. Kennedy Ryan really needed you to go through this hard experience with the main character, Iris. She really wanted you to experience the pain, tears, hurt, emotions, trap feelings she had to endure. 
One of the trigger is rape.  I wanted to throw Caleb somewhere if I could. At the end, I was happy with the results. This book is not an easy read but well written and one I think should be read.
