I LOVED this.

Great characters, fun plot, AMAZING CAT....peak cozy cat mysteries.

Now I want to go visit Chicago again to solve murders with the help of a fat ginger cat.

This was a great start to the series. It immediately drew me in with the turmoil among the characters, the launching of the new business and the end of her relationship. I enjoyed catching all the historical mob ties and gangster connections as well. Delilah is opening a pizza shop in Geneva Bay. Her wealthy fiance is footing the bill, until they get in to an argument on opening night. He takes off, leaving Delilah with all the stress of the opening night, as well as the financial demands of a business. To make matters worse, her elderly aunt, who is at the soft open is found holding a murder weapon, with a dead body in front of her. Delilah knows her aunt is not a killer, and starts digging in to who the real killer may be. She has a zany assortment of staff members who stand by her side. I really enjoyed this series.

Okay, if you're here for the food you found the right place! The imagery was spot on and I'm already researching local pizzerias to try to recreate the vibe from this book!

The murder investigation and the romance aspect were equally measured in this story and I liked it! If you need a cozy mystery that will inspire you to pull up grubhub, you found it.
