Loving the fight. They're still so smol but the fight was actually life-death situation :" Sharingan activated for the first time in Sasuke
Friendly reminder that before Sasuke collapsed, all he thought was all the adventures with team 7

As a kid I remember just accepting the tree climbing exercise as an obvious(?) next step in the shinobi training. But as an adult, and sitting here thinking about it, I now think it such a weird and dangerous task to set. Like lets just have these 12 year olds run up tall trees, not use their hands and just hope they don't fall and break their necks. But I guess that's the beauty of a kids manga.
Also Haku is such a pretty character.

Naruto is probably my fave work of fiction like, ever. and the waves arc is beloved for a reason. i will probably never have the time to go through the whole series again. what i WILL do is read and re-read all my fave parts of the manga, and get both the high of nostalgia and a new take away each time. they will, obviously, all be 5 stars. talk about a roman empire, my god.
