I enjoyed this book, despite what others said about it being slow or boring compared to the rest of the series. It was a fun beginning to what has become one of my favorite series ever.

I love reading this book every single time. SJM does some great world building, and for her earlier works, it’s well done.

I'm going to be honest I expected better. This book wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either. Knowing that SJM tends to write pretty mid first books in her series, I'll read the second one, hoping it gets better.
