Wonderful young adult romance with a mental health twist. Nicely written, interesting style and characters. Just wish it didn’t push the Romeo and Juliet so hard, otherwise stellar reading (still in the young adult mindset apparently).

This is an adorable teen romance that had such an amazing portayal of mental health illness. I instantly fell in love with Lennon, a girl struggling to hide her OCD while living with her inner demons, and Kyler - the boy who thinks he is a demon because of the scars that marr his body. With gorgeously written prose, a heart shattering twist, and a world that is too utterly relatable for so many, All OUr Broken Pieces is one for every one to devour, sob, and remend their hearts. 4/5 Stars!!

After finishing "Better Than The Movies", it was quite surprising to see the connections between the two novels.

Now, I'm absolutely not saying these novels are exactly alike, but there are a lot of similarities that pop up without even looking too deep.

Nevertheless, this novel is tonally different from the more rom-com energy of Better Than The Movies. It goes deep into the trauma of two broken teenage souls with a slight homage to Romeo and Juliet and its legacy as a tragedy (even if Lennon wants to believe it's a love story). There are, of course, characters you want to root for. Kyler and Lennon are both characters you want to see reach their goals. Jacob, the younger brother, is arguably an unsung hero across the novel. Even the antagonist of the novel is not only comically wicked, but horrifyingly plausible too.

If you're looking for a teen read that's emotionally compelling, this is one novel that I can't recommend enough.

All Our Broken Pieces is a nicely written book about Lennon, a girls with OCD, and a boy, Kyler, with scars and an unusual sense of humor. I found this book a bit slow in the beginning, but as I kept reading, I became more and more interested. The author portrays the feelings of both characters very well and alternates points of view in each chapter. I would recommend this book to someone who enjoys reading books about others, the lives they lead, and the challenges they overcome.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*

What to say about this book... I'm so glad I picked it up and it feels like a real gem. The issues these teens are facing are so real, their reactions make sense, and they tugged on my heartstrings the entire time.

This book deals with OCD, and trauma in Kyler's past in ways that don't glorify their scars. This book is absolutely precious and is one I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this book. It reminded me a lot of Letters to the Lost, which was one of my favorite reads this year. I personally loved the portrayal of Lennon’s OCD. It was nice to see an accurate representation of what I personally experience, although my condition is much milder. I absolutely adored Lennon and Kyler’s story. It was so cute and heartwarming that I teared up a few times. Overall, it is a very easy read that will, without a doubt, resonate with me.
