spicy!

This is the first book I’ve read in at least a year. It only took a few hours. I couldn’t put it down! Tre and Imani are definitely an interesting pair to unfold!

I can’t get over

How amazing his story was !! Thankfully Tre and Imani were just as passionate about Franklin Financial as they were about each other and their passion was fiery

Danielle Allen can literally have all my money. I will read anything she writes.

The thing about Danielle's writing is that it's so beautiful and full of love and life and emotion. There is always, ALWAYS a take away in her books.

This book is no exception. We follow the story of Imani and Tre who are in a bit of a forbidden office romance situation. They promise each other one night, but even one night isn't enough. What do you do when you meet your person who understands you emotionally, mentally and physically but everything around you is telling you no?

Tre is everything a woman wants. He is strong, smart, successful, beautiful, AND that man can do things that are just...amazing. iykyk. And Imani? She is what we love in a heroine. She is beautiful, smart, amazing, and not afraid to go after what she wants. I just love her and I love them together.

This story was beautiful, funny, sexy, all the above. READ IT. You will not regret it.

So lets just say this title is very fitting because the casual encouters at the office were off the chain! lol! This was a fun book where I enjoyed both the hero Tre and the heroine Imani. What started out as causual quickly turned into more and them working in the same office added to the spice and thrill of getting caught. I feel there were some leads that didn't get resolved but it didn't take away from the overall story. Definitely a good read if you want a steamy office romance!

Imani meets an attractive man in the lobby on her way to an interview and feels an immediate spark. Then she finds out Tre is the man she's interviewing with and he'll be her new boss. The two know they need to back off immediately, but it proves to be too hard to do. They agreed to one night to get it out of their systems but the one night only succeeded in proving they were in too deep from the start.

I LOVED this book. The pure angst at wondering when if/ when they would get caught, the sweetness of them realizing they were falling in love, the perfect passion they shared. I loved every bit of it. One of my favorite things was that Imani and Tre were always fully aware of what was at stake. They were prepared for consequences. The author didn't try to make it some star crossed love situation. They were adults, making and standing by their decisions. That made me love them despite them being so reckless, lol. The two of them needed each other in a way that was real and impactful, without being overdone. And the way they each tried to protect each other, and defend each other was special. Her ex was a true weirdo, and I found myself cringing when he was on page. I guess the character development worked there. This was a fast read for me because the writing style was engaging and fun. Wonderful book.
