A well crafted and delightful read! This book boasts a blend of humor, itelligence and highly original and engaging characters. I loved it. If you have a sense of humor, you will too.

I'll be honest. It took me a bit to get comfortable with the world that Karina Fabian has created here. I love mythical magic stories containing creatures like elves, dragons, goblins, and so forth. I love books about religion and the Church. This is the first time I've ever encountered a story that mixed them on the same side. (Well, except maybe for Narnia...)

In Magic, Mensa & Mayhem, I met Vern, a dragon who works for the Catholic Church. His sidekick, Grace, is a nun. Who practices magic. See what I mean? But, once I got used to this concept, I really enjoyed this book. Grace and Vern have been sent to a Mensa convention that will feature a mix of fae and human members. The purpose of their presence is to kind of keep order between the two. There is much of all three things mentioned in the title. It becomes evident, during the convention, that a war is about to erupt between two factions of the elves, and Vern and Grace must figure out why and how to stop it. It's great fun, and I believe there are other books about the same characters in the case files of "Dragon Eye, PI."
