really liked this! like with proper english, i'm not normally a fan of murder mystery (and i did find this one a bit graphic despite the content warnings provided on storygraph), however this one had some really interesting conversations in it about queer identity in the early 20th century, and disability in the post-WW1 period. also i thought the main couple had great chemistry.

Gorgeous story of emotional intimacy and romance tied up in a gripping-even-by-KJC-standards mystery plot. I wish I'd been adequately warned for the murder-suicide at the resolution before I read , but I can see that it's in the crowdsourced tags here.
