Another fabulous book by Jamieson! Tanner and Katelyn's story showed how if something is meant to be, it will always work out. I am really enjoying this series and can't wait to read the next book!

Note, I did request and received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I devoured this entire series and was delighted when I realized I had an ARC of the next book. I've been on a major hockey romance kick. This was a reunion story between Tanner and Katelyn. They dated in college but broke up because of his future in hockey and her father's sickness. The attraction between them was steamy once they meet again. However, they had to learn to trust each other again and overcome the capricious reality of a professional sport career.

Received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I've been binge reading Kelly Jamieson's books. Her writing is so fluid & you just fall in love with her characters. I love that heroines are strong, independent women & the hero's are strong alpha men who respect their women. I'm really loving this series & I love that each book can be read as a standalone. I'm really looking forward to reading more from Kelly Jamieson!

Hockey hotties? ☑
Second chances? ☑
Action on and off the ice? ☑

The Aces Hockey series has become one of my auto-read series. I can't get enough of these hockey hotties and their lucky ladies.

Tanner and Katelyn's story had a bit of it all. Love, lust, longing.

Duel POVs give us a great insight to both our lovelies thoughts and feelings. The hurt, the longing, the wan that exudes from both Tanner an Katelyn has the reader longing along with them. I couldn't help but want, no need these lovelies to make their way back to each other, through all the obstacles of careers and coupledom

I loved getting more of the other Aces boys and their ladies. I love the bonds, the banter, the love between them all.

Now I need more. Please give us more Ms Jamieson, and don' make me wait too long :D

Three stars.

Great cover - wow!

This was OK, a pleasant read but it didn't grip me. Although, full-disclosure, I have no idea whatsoever about ice hockey.

Tanner Bennet comes from a well-to-do but broken family. Both of his parents have married and divorced multiple times. All his friends' marriages have ended in divorce and his marriage to a model lasted less than six months. So when his team-mate and captain Marc Dupuis announces that he is getting married Tanner is less than thrilled. Being an ice-hockey player he is terribly superstitious and worries that he might be some kind of wedding jinx.

After their original wedding planner disappears Marc and his fiance Lovey hire Katelyn Medford as their new planner. Little do they know that Tanner and Katelyn were high-school sweethearts until Tanner got called to the NHL and Katelyn wouldn't/ couldn't leave her home town. Cue the awks!

I liked the story of this novel but in all honesty I felt it got lost in the rather lacklustre sex scenes (I am over "folds" people, find another word) which seemed to substitute for character or plot development. Also, I felt that (at least in the middle of the novel) the writing became very staccato with short sentences and an over-reliance on descriptions on exactly what Tanner ate for dinner and the colour and style of every set of lingerie that Katelyn wore - I just didn't care if she was wearing an orchid purple demi-cup with v-front thong matching set.

Recommended for readers who like light frothy second-chance romances with a heavy dose of smexy.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

Bumped for release.

In college Tanner and Katelyn fell in love, and broke each other's hearts. Years later they are unexpectedly reunited. The heat and the hurt are both still there. It was about time Tanner got his own book! He and Katelyn had great chemistry. Katelyn is a fun, strong heroine. I greatly enjoy this series and Kelly Jamieson's writing. However, this book wasn't my favorite in the series. I did enjoy revisiting quite a few of the other characters from the series through the wedding!

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Received this book for free for my honest review.

I enjoyed this book. It is a little on the smutty side but the book just pulled you in and you fall in love with all the characters. Tanner and Kate were college lovers who split as Tanner went to the NHL. Kate moved to Chicago, started her own business, forgot about Tanner and no longer paid attention to the NHL. Kate is hired to be a wedding event planner and it is one of Tanners buddies getting married. Very cute story and lots of passion :)

description

After reading Top Shelf a while back, I didn’t hesitate when I saw this one on Netgalley, because I really liked it, and I wanted more of that world. I’m so glad I did, because this book was awesome, I really like this Hockey world that Jamieson created with this series, and I can’t wait to read the other 2 books that I haven’t read yet.

I loved the writing on this one, the book is told in dual POV, third person, but it’s that sort of third person POV that has a unique voice, you know? It was just fast and fun to read, even in its emotional moments.

I’m a sucker for second chance romances, I just love the idea of them, so when I realized that this was one, I was ecstatic. I loved Tanner and Katelyn, they were both well rounded characters, who had clearly grown up a lot since they were last together, and they both also grow considerably during the duration of this book. Both of them are pretty scared to get hurt and hurting the other one again, but their chemistry is amazing, and they are just so darn cute when they finally get together.

I loved the inclusion of their friends and Tanner’s team during the whole plot of the book. This is a major thing, because it goes to Tanner’s fears and his strengths and my heart was just so happy with all those amazing friendships.

I really liked the plot, and how for most of the things, Tanner and Katelyn actually talked about their issues. They both make somewhat dumb choices at one point or another, because they were scared (mostly), but I was happy that those dumb moments didn’t overextend, and I was very very happy with the resolution.

I have to recommend this series if you’re into hockey romances, because it is a delight. I love the group of friends, their connections, the writing, the romance, the characters… everything! Give this a chance.

This was kind of "meh". So far it's my least favorite in the series. I'm excited to hit book five.
