Tobias works at becoming more comfortable and finding his balance as a full-time Master again. Meanwhile, his work brings out the true submissive in Noah, who faces some of his greatest fears, and his greatest secrets, confessing to Noah about a terrible time in his past. He's not the only one who has a rough time. Tobias breaks down and shows Noah he's not all dominance, too, which sends shockwaves through their romance, leaving them to wonder if they can keep it together. Boy was it good to be back reading about Tobias and Noah. I have to say, since the last book, I missed them. I actually craved to read this second book of the Deviations series because I HAD to know what happens with them. It didn't disappoint. There was a lot of hot action, a lot of hot scenes, and a lot of romance. This book was definitely more romantic than the first, and emotional in a different way. In this second book, Tobias and Noah have to find balance between having a regular romantic relationship and having a relationship based on the exchange of power. In this one, Tobias examines his weaknesses as Noah comes to terms with his. Their dynamic and struggles show that not even the best Dom in the world is infallible; no matter how strong we are, we break down, we screw up. We're not perfect. I can't wait to read number 3.

Great second book and the audio is well done.

I love Noah. He really is a beautiful soul. He just fits so well into his submission, and when he stops trying so hard it just naturally flows.

I'm enjoying watching the progression of the relationship as in this one we dive really into the training and how it progresses to a natural partnership.

I do like Tobias as well, but there are times I really don't. There was one scene here where Noah used his safe word. Now I was really impressed with Noah here, as Tobias was extremely worried he hurt Noah and Noah made sure to let him know he hadn't but at the same time asked for time to work out his responses before they spoke about what went wrong in the scene. Noah acted here as the mature stable partner. Tobias obviously had his issues with what happened the night before and also with his relationship with Phan, but his reaction here was unacceptable. He didn't listen and basically shut down over Noah using his safe word. It was only Noah calmly reassuring him and talking it out that solved the issue.

In regards to Phan - I have a love/hate relationship with his character. I love him individually, his personality is actually infectious and fun, but I hate him in regards to his tie in with Tobias and Noah and this part of the storyline doesn't sit well with me. I feel sorry for Noah here as Tobias quite obviously has an emotional connection with Phan (which he doesn't fully comprehend the level of emotional attachment between the two of them) and Noah is kind of put in a position that he has to make a connection to Phan.

Onto the next one

I respect the meticulous approach to the BDSM lifestyle, but I felt this book too long and tedious; I ended up getting bored. I'm putting this series aside; maybe I'll pick it up later.

A 4.5 star read. Unfortunately GR doesn't allow 1/2 stars but it didn't quite make the 5 so had to show it as a 4.

In this book the relationship grows between Tobias and Noah and Phantom is prominent towards the end. I enjoyed the New Year party and wonder if it is a sign of where things are heading now that Phantom has revealed his background and receiving help.

Have read the quick short [bc:Ratchet|8035713|Ratchet (Deviations, #2.5)|Chris Owen|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1271152992s/8035713.jpg|12649607] and will carry on with this series after a short break.

I honestly don't have the words to tell you how much I loved this book. This series is truly just getting better and better. Again it is firmly on my favourites shelf!

Again we get to spend time with Tobias and Noah. Their relationship is growing constantly, but not without some bumps along the way. Again Chris and Jodi make us a part of this relationship. We learn some of the motivations behind Tobias' actions and watch Noah grow in his role as well. We're also a part of their love story as it grows stronger daily.

The BDSM scenes are extremely hot, as is the sex! At times I felt I really needed a cold shower...

Great read. This series is perfect if you're looking for BDSM that has the feelings, but the MC's do nothing more than wobble - they're solid together, so there's little angst really. The hot sex is *definitely* there too! Noah is a sweetheart and Tobias is an adorable, yet hard, Dom who has a few issues himself, but nothing terrible and they clearly adore one another. The secondary characters are wonderful too, most notably Bradford and Phan, who provide some of the angstiness. Can't wait to read the third!

I am loving this series more and more, and I am falling for Tobias and Noah pretty hard. And Phan too! I find myself wishing that they were a true threesome, but it doesnt seem like Tobias would be interested in that. He has said that he couldnt handle two subs. I cant wait to read the next book, and I hope to see more of Phan.
