PERSONAL REVIEW: I picked this up from a book sale for a quarter. I loved studying Artemisia Gentileschi in my college art class and thought I'd give it a chance, since it was almost free.

I didn’t like the reader and the story felt too reductive. I wasn’t going to like how Vreeland treated her through the rest of the book.
