Tropes: Pirate, Enemies to Lovers
This might be my first pirate romance? I enjoyed the action scenes, sighed at the constant threats of sexual violence, and was quite fascinated by the completely unintentional homoerotic vibes between the main male character and his best friend. I do appreciate a heroine that can throw a punch, hence the extra half star.

Solid audio narration by Cornell Collins.

I am forever enthralled by Lauren Smith’s writing style. Her books always pull me in and create worlds I long to be a part of. I am constantly reading out of order and this series is no different. I first read In Like Flynn (book 2) almost 2 years ago and yet as soon as I started listening to this story, all the characters and story came rushing back. It is like greeting long lost friends. Seeing Dom & Robbie and hearing their story was captivating. I listened to the audiobook and it was like seeing a live act take place in my mind. The story so vividly told that I was a part of the action. Indeed this story is packed with swashbuckling pirates of honour, fierce battles and daring rescues alongside a romance of tender heart. I was rooting for Dom even while knowing the conclusion. And the epilogue! Seeing Nicholas meet Mr.Holland gave me goosebumps as I have long loved Pirate Flynn. I am beyond anxious to read Josephine’s tale in book 3 and am grateful that I don’t have long to wait. If you like pirates, love and adventure, you will love the Pirate’s of King’s Landing

Oh my god this book was amazing!!!
I was looking for another series now that I caught up with the league of rogues and the league is still my fav series but wowsers I’m in love with this one too.
I loved the adventure, the action, the battles. I loved the story and the emotional moments really had me crying sad and happy tears.
I love Robbie. She’s just awesome.
And Dom and Flynn. Ugh. I can’t describe how much I loved this story.
And Lauren Smith writes such great villains too.
I’m really excited to get started on the next one!
