Ah, this was disappointing. I loved the idea: a climate apocalypse, desert settings, and a cult. What isn't to love? This book, apparently. The characters were insufferable--not even in a fun way. The prose was pretty, but it got to be overbearing at a certain point. I think this book could have been about 100 pages shorter.
