This series is a new favourite for me for SURE! Trying to hold off reading book 3 now because I know I'll be sad that I have to wait for the rest of the series to be released! Want to make what I've got right now last!

Pregnancy trope ruined the book. Sex scenes were too monotonous for how many there were.

The depth of this book is intense and deep, especially as a second book. I adored it, but it was so long I had to take breaks before continuing to make sure how dark parts were didn't affect me too much. I'm excited for book 3, but will probably give myself a break before diving into it.

DNF @ 80%

This book isn’t bad, it was actually enjoyable for the first 75%. But oh my god why is it almost 800 pages??? It’s so unnecessary and I found myself just wishing for it to end. It takes them the entire book to make it through like 6 days?

So much of this could’ve been shaved down, especially the spicy scenes. I have a super high tolerance for spice, but once we’ve seen them doing the same things like 20 times over and over I was getting bored. I know that’s the point of this type of book, but considering how long it is, it just felt unnecessary. The author could’ve cut a few out and it would’ve been a more manageable book.

I think it would’ve been a 3.5 for me if it had been like 450-500 pages. I rarely find myself not finishing books, but I couldn’t bring myself to read one more 20 page spice scene that involves them doing and saying the same things.
