This book of poetry was hit or miss for me. There were certain poems that I really loved and immediately wanted to write down to save and share and return to in the future. I enjoyed that other poets were included in the collection and liked the theme of referencing fairy tales and other classic works (Romeo & Juliet, Chronicles of Narnia, etc). Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance reading copy in exchange for my review.

The poems in this book reached out and touched my heart. They spoke of things I’ve only felt and have never managed to find the words for. They were emotional and powerful and strong and beautiful. I took the time to read them aloud which made them more impactful and I felt so connected to the words. Trigger warning for sexual abuse if you’re thinking of reading this book!!

This poetry collection made me feel comforted and there were a couple that really spoke to me, and I appreciated that.

an amazing ending to such an empowering and strong series of poetry. the touch of other poets work added something to the book and gave it a different kind of air to it and yet fit well with the book.
