I feel like such a contrarian, but I do not like this book. Sadie is the same bitchy female archetype that I usually love, but she wasn't even someone I could understand. Sam isn't a great guy either, but he's likable enough. Marx is a nice guy and a good character

, and his death was one of my favorite parts of the book.

However, a couple of moments like that which I actually liked along with some nice motifs doesn't make a book perfect. The book felt pretentious in its writing, despite its ideas and themes being easy to grasp. Overall, I can't get behind a book that insists on me liking someone who is simply impossible to like. I might not actually stick with this opinion of the book, but in my time reading it, I just didn't love it.

I knew very little about this book except that people who read it liked it. I was pleasantly surprised as someone who games to realize it was about designing video games, something I rarely thing about in terms of behind the scenes. I think the characters in this book are beautifully developed and made truly human decisions. Everything in this book felt so real as if it was a biography about game designers. I wish the games they made existed in real life and I wish I had a friendship like Sadie’s and Sams when I was younger even if it was for charity. Their bond was everything.

The three of them should’ve been locking lips and hunching all together and there would’ve been less conflict. They were all made for each other. Down with monogamy!

I am so glad I took the time to read this, and I am kind of sad that I won't get to experience it for the first time again.

This is the story of Sam and Sadie, who meet in hospital as kids and start playing games together. Eventually they decide to start making games together.

This is the story about the games they make, but more importantly their lives together and apart.

The characters that Zevin has created feel so realistic and like they are actual people and the games she has made are incredible - I would absolutely love to play one of them for myself (and will just have to do with playing Stardew Valley for now)

This book is hyped up a lot, but I would recommend picking this one up, even if you think it might be overhyped. I am so glad I finally read this.

As both a reader and a gamer, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow was everything I hoped for and more. It truly lives up to the hype and deserves every bit of recognition it's received. Gabrielle Zevin’s writing is nothing short of incredible. The way she crafts the characters’ growth over time is mesmerizing—so vivid and nuanced that I could actually see them aging and changing. I felt as though I was right there with them, watching their lives unfold, and that connection made it hard to turn the final page.

The book is filled with memorable quotes and beautiful moments that are both touching and profound. The emotional depth was stunning, and I found myself tearing up multiple times. By the end, I was emotional not because of any specific event, but because I had to say goodbye to characters I had grown with, and that was unexpectedly hard. Zevin’s writing made me feel like I had lived a part of their lives, and it's rare to find a story that captures that so well. This book is truly special, and I can easily imagine it being adapted into a movie or series because it played out so vividly in my mind.

If you're a lover of stories that make you feel deeply and immerse you in another world, this one is a must-read. It left a lasting impact on me, and I’m sure it will for many others too.
