I adored this book so much!
I would highly recommend listening to it on the Audrey app - not only does it feel good to support an independent audiobook company, but the narration was beautiful and I loved reading the notes. It made the experience all the more absorbing and I felt like I learnt so much not only about the story but about Louisa May Alcott's life and wider society at that time.
I've loved the 2019 adaption by Greta Gerwig for a while so that might have helped my experience, and even though the second 'book' receives a lot more criticism than the first, I thought it still had some lovely moments.
I'm going to miss these characters <3

It was a good story, but that's about all I can say. It never really got very interesting imo, but I also get bored easily when I read classics like this.

I really enjoyed this but it just got too drawn out towards the end.

Little Women was such a fun one to read, this book just feels so nostalgic to me even though i've never watched the movie or book until now?? each of the chapters were like cute little short stories about each of the girls lives filled with life lessons and morals.i'll admit i feel like part 1 is a little too long/ slightly boring but it got more interesting in part 2.
i think it took me about 80% of the way through before i finally came to like amy...i think she had good character development and honestly my heart broke for both amy and jo. i have so many conflicting thoughts because i feel like i understand everyone's POV's here.
like how amy has always felt second best to jo...and the fact that she had to watch laurie in love with her sister from the sidelines. and then jo, the girl who has a tough exterior but is actually a sensitive hopeless romantic + who loves to self sabotage. then there's laurie, who i think was in love with the idea of jo but not really jo herself, and was hurting both jo and amy in the procsss. idk it all hurts!!!!!
a part of me was really rooting for jo and laurie but i understand how amy and laurie made sense together...but like why her sister laurie? o why?! i would never marry a man who was in love with my sister, and don't even get me started on jo and professor bhaer og
AND BETH??? i don't wanna talk about it...like if she was gonna die she might as well have died when she was sick in the beginning of the book anyways....adding josephine to my list of girls names...
