My enjoyment may be inversely proportional to the amount read via audiobook. I enjoyed the second half twice as much.

I think I wasn't really in the mood for this but I couldn't put it down once I'd started. Irene, Kai, and Vale, plus Irene's new assistant Librarian, a young Fae called Catherine, are in London for a routine book retrieval when everything starts to go wrong. Vale and Irene barely escape with their lives from a visit to an underwater tunnel, and soon escapes and murder attempts positively litter the plot. This seemed a little darker and less humorous than the others in this series but that may be just my own mood. I love these books but I'm feeling kind of ready for the series to wrap up any old time it wants to.
