3 stars. This was a really lovely way to pass the time and it was done for a great cause. The illustrations were great and some of the short stories were interesting but there was just something about this collection that I didn’t love. I can’t put my finger on it but something was missing for me here. It was still a fun and quick read though.

How could I feel anything but love for this book? Each story written during a horrible time & each one will have brought a smile to so many people’s faces. I love having some of the extra lockdown content down, permanently, on paper & I love the extras included in the book as well. I’m most happy about more stories about 13 & the fam - we don’t have enough books staring them. A lovely edition to my many Doctor Who books.

This was pleasant. If also a little nostalgic - remember 2020 when we (a) thought covid19 might be over in months and (b) all cared enough about each other to limit our activities to save lives and help health workers? But, mainly, I just want to yell to other readers: “In one story, IT IS FINALLY SUSAN!”

I liked this book! Most stories are a few pages - essentially a short scene with a strong “timey-wimey” touch. Most really felt like moments we would normally not see in the tv show.
It consists of 16 short stories, primarily featuring the 13th Doctor but also includes past faces like 10th Doctor, Rory, the Corsair, and Susan.
I was intrigued by the stories written by past showrunners, but my favorite ones were by the authors I’m unfamiliar with. A few were slow, but most were fantastic. Also, most had positive messages relating to themes of lockdown and being in isolation. Will be rereading in the future!

A great way to spend an afternoon, some uplifting stories of hope and triumph. Some odd snippets of scripts and poetry. But, it is what it is, a way of giving young whovians hope.
