There is something immensely special about re-reading a Brandon Sanderson book.
It's more than discovering details I missed the first time because I was too busy being blown away by the premise and the magical system.
It's more than returning to characters I've grown to love and seeing them evolve all over again.
It's more than the excitement of noticing little Cosmere easter-eggs and furiously flipping through his other books to see if a hunch is right.
You're never the same person you were when you first picked it up. His books have a way of making you live through the characters' experiences. To question where the boundaries are, and who put them there, and what happens if you push them just a tiny bit.
Even though I knew what to expect from Warbreaker plot-wise, I still went through the same cycle of wonder and stress (so much stress, my god) that I remember from my first read. Reading the annotations as I went along this time only added to the wonder.
An excellent book. I didn't think it was possible, but I love it even more than I did before.
