I first read this book when I borrowed it from a school friend when I was 13/14. I never questioned it's authenticity back then, but when I re-read it as an adult, I don't know how i could have been convinced it was real!
It claims it's based on a real diary of a teenager who died of a drug overdose, but it was actually written by a middle aged woman.
If you want to write a trashy novel to discourage young people to do drug, go ahead. But what annoys me is that this is marketed as a real diary of a drug addict!
I remember loving it for all its drama when I was 13 years old but when I re-read it almost threw it across the room for it's attempts to communicate with young people!
Have a flick through if you want a laugh.
