I love the snarky commentary and the little shocking bits he just tosses on the ends of paragraphs like it’s ordinary. For example, the duke stood pointing with “what was left of his finger” 😳
It was also darker than I thought it would be in terms of suicide and sanity - I found it darker than moving pictures or the night watch series. Also, there are a lot of references to sex and rape that I was not expecting at all.
For the ending - it seemed a bit abrupt and yes there was hints that the fool was clever and the baby looked like the fool, but I think usually he drops more info on how the plot lines connect, and this one seemed closer to an ex machina. I also expected there to be more consequences or just narrative about the 15 years time travel.
But overall, I really enjoyed the storytelling and would read it again later on. I recommend the book :)

Content warnings that's not a covered tag, yummy and not so yummy food is mentioned frequently
And despite me having tagged a bunch of triggers (for honesty), its more of a case in like a kids tv show like yes technically these dark things are there but few are is triggered by or even notice it due to the general theme and lack of seriousness.
Kinda like cartoon logic, sure theyre doing life threatening things but they're immortal so it doesn't have the same stakes kind of vibe a la roger rabbit, rather than recent gritty dc movies or a horror movie lol
The only really triggering and unnecessary part for me as a survivor of a bunch of bs, is the body shaming of the women
