Puedes ser valiente sin dejar de ser femenina. Puedes dirigir un país y que te gusten las flores. Y, lo más importante, puedes ser reina y esposa.

I quit at page 33. I'm not even sure how I made it that far.

Eadlyn's parents force her to make a selection of her own to get a husband 'to make the people happy'. Just kill me now...

finally took the time to finish this series off. The original trilogy stand above the final two, but Eadlyn’s story is interesting.

The whole selection is ridiculous. Why would a selection distract the public from uprising? It’s not like they are life all day and night, they do like an hour of updates once a week. And the rest of the week people have lots of time planning their revolution.

I actually enjoyed this one! It has been a good story so far. Though I'm extremely over Eadlyn's drama queen thing she's got going on. ALSO, I totally called it from the beginning with Kile. It was easy! Hahaha, if she doesn't end up with him, I'll be sad.... HAHA

This was a reread for me but last time I wasn’t a fan so didn’t end up reading book 5, but this time rather than speed reading it I allowed myself to enjoy the book. At time the character of Eadlyn does annoy me but I think that overall she comes across as a relatable character, not in the way that you understand because your a princess but because she is trying to grow up and is thinking about not only herself but those around her.
The plot of the book is good and it is nice to see the selection process not only with 1 female and multitudes of boys but to also see it from the royals perspective, I think it shows just how much Maxon would have had to have dealt with during his selection that I think is something that is hinted at within the first 3 books but that is something that is not fully comprehended.
