I really don't think that Dan Brown knows how to end his books. It was somewhat believable until the end. And then it turned into a hyped up action movie that was way out there. I'm glad that I read it, but am also glad that I'm done.

Dan Brown never, and I mean NEVER, fails to amaze me. He is the Christopher Nolan of the novel/book world (idk if that makes sense but to me it does). I remember reading my first Dan Brown book, which was Inferno, and all the emotions that washed over me when I finished Inferno many years ago came back in full force and hit me like a bullet train while reading Angels and Demons. He is one of the writer's of whose brain I would like to pick apart on writing such beautiful, suspenseful, informative yet thrilling book. I am fully convinced that Mr. Brown was an elite member of all the secret societies of the world in his past life and he is simply reliving them through writing these books. I would HIGHLY recommend this book and all his other books. If you are a history buff, find religion and science interesting, if you appreciate art and scientific histories and discoveries, Dan Brown is the man for you.

I would like to start this review off by apologizing to the masses. I've had this book on my bookshelf/TBR list for nearly a decade, and have failed to pick it up until I had the opportunity to listen to it via audiobook. This book is a work of art!
The amount of knowledge and factual information poured into the plotline of it puts it on a whole other level. I felt like I was learning interesting nuggets of history, religion and science. Robert Langdon felt like a fountain of information on religion, while Vittoria Vetra was his scientific counterpart, the perfect duo!
The thrill of an intense timeline keeps you on your toes, unexpected twists and truths are wild. Third person POV allowed for the reader to dip into many characters' prescriptions of the events unfolding. I think the narrator was phenomenal! Definitely a must read.

Such. A. Good. Book. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. This book had me wanting to go to rome to follow the trail myself. The way that dan brown was able to so convincingly create a treasure map across rome with pre existing statues and architecture linking their coincidental symbology is genius. Although I feel like a romance between robert and vittoria was uneeded - the way he described her throughout the whole book made me so uncomfortable, she was very objectified. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't watched the movie but it was still such a good book.

You know, most people say "the stories are all the same". i see why they think that, in certain level it actually kind of is, but I see all different every time I read a knew story about this amazing character. you need to like this kind of thing, the mystery I mean. every mystery book or movie have the same base, but everyone has his own magic and own dialogues, that makes everything look different and make you be anxious every time you read! For me the book are not the same, I love every one of them! By the way, this one is my favourite!
