Twisty

I loved the storyline, the twists and suspense, and all the characters. I’d love to see books for secondary players Rick, Lance, and even Laurent. Sadly, even with the epilogue, I don’t quite feel like I have closure, however.

I received an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. Review an blog tour can be found on my blog Milky way of books.

An explosive ending to this duology! Bell and Dario were an amazing couple who had to overcome their problems both emotional and with the enemies around them. I really won't spoil but I can't help but become emersed in Torre's writing!

Like in the first book in this duet I enjoyed the secondary characters in this book more than the main ones. Laurent was my favorite character and I wanted much more from him. I never clicked with Dario or Bell's relationship in the first book and it didn't win me over in the conclusion.
Anytime they were together I felt bored, I did enjoy the pace of the book and the dark aspects of what was happening.

Double Down is an absolutely thrilling conclusion to the All In duet, and quite the display of Torre’s talent at mixing suspense with romance. The first installment was the slow climb to the top of the roller coaster with a sensuality that beguiled and a little bit of mystery that built as it climbed to the top, but then this second half was the downward fall that snatched my breath away and gobbled up every thought from my mind as it brought me through every twist and turn.

For fear of revealing anything, I’ll be very brief—With moments of darkness and grime, what continually shines through is the attraction and love between Dario and Bell. What kept the pages turning was my devotion to them, to finding out whether or not they’d be okay at the end…everything else around it was a wonderfully breathtaking cherry on top of their love story. I enjoyed every single moment this duet had to offer and many will be captivated with it just as I was.

**Received an early copy; this had no bearing on my opinions**

Double Down was a fantastic conclusion to Dario and Bell's story. And with all the twists, intrigue, suspense and different points of view, this story is told from. I was completely and utterly hooked.

Especially after Bell is forced to flee and the truth of who really died is revealed. As from that point on, I literally had no idea what was going to happen next and whether Bell and Dario would survive long enough to get their happy ever after. But boy did I enjoy every single edge of your seat moment, finding out!!

OH. MY. GOD! Double Down is equally as gripping and engrossing as Even Money; I could NOT put it down!! The story picks up right where the first book left off with Bell and Dario dealing with Gwen's death. Because Even Money left us with one hell of a cliffhanger, the second Double Down landed on my kindle I was on it so dang fast. I was borderline obsessive with it. After reading it, I can rightfully say that I am so in love with this book. Double Down brings the suspense, the drama, the heat and the passion. It’s so good. Alessandra Torre is a master of romantic suspense. She has a way of giving you just enough information so the story is not boring or predictable and has you craving and devouring more and more.

The only reason I could not give this book the full 5 stars is because I did not feel as emotionally connected to Dario and Bell's relationship as I was in the first book. Individually, I loved them both. I liked Bell’s independence and her relationships with her friends. As for Dario, I liked him in Even Money but I absolutely loved him and his fierce protective nature in this book. There were so many times that I wanted to reach in and take away all his grief. My feelings for him only grew. Although, I loved both main characters, when they were together, I wasn't fully sold on their love. Yes, they were fire when they were intimate. Outside their intimacy, I thought there was just something off.

Both Even Money and Double Down are perfect example of why Alessandra Torre is one of my favorite writers ever. She can write anything!

This book was slightly better than the first. But I still had a hard time with the story. But it was a very quick read.

A fantastic ending in the All In Duet!!
Double Down picks up right where Even Money leaves off, putting you right back in the front-and-center part of the action. It was full of twists and turns, things spinning in directions that kept me glued to the pages.
Another wonderful story by Alessandra Torre!!
