DNF @ 54%

This is the 3rd book I’ve DNF’d this year & the one I’ve enjoyed the most. If you are looking for a fantasy romance you should definitely give this a chance. It’s entertaining & I did like the world building. Also liked the characters. Only DNF’d because it’s not grabbing my attention & I don’t want to force myself to finish something that’s just meh for me so far.

Incredible adventure.

The Longing of Lone Wolves begins with our heroine, Clarke (human), waking up in what was originally Las Vegas but is now thousands of years into an apocalyptic future. She is discovered by a murderous bunch of Fae shifters, and then rescued by our hero, Rush (also a Fae wolf shifter.)

I loved this story. The world building is so detailed, the various types of races as well. It felt like a beauty and the beast retelling but obviously vastly different.

Highly recommend if you’re into “chosen one” story lines. Excited for Thorne’s story next!

This is book one of the series and it is absolutely amazing!

Rush is an exiled wolf-shifter and Guardian who swore to protect the world from the humans who previously destroyed the world. Due to his exile, Rush is unable to interact or be seen by anyone. Well anyone until he found Clarke, a human.

This is a post-apocalyptic dystopian world with a fantasy twist, a combination of two of my favorite genres. Add in the heat between these two characters and you have a perfect recipe for an spectacular story.

I love the contrast with Clarke who keeps fighting on and the grumpy Rush who has almost given up. Clarke gives him the push to keep going and I absolutely loved it!

I completely loved this book!  The world that Lana has created is stunning. I also love the underlining theme of conservation you see within the story. The Fae flourish because they revere nature and reject non-natural materials. This is a stand alone with an over arching storyline & I will give you a hint... book 2 is just as good, if not better then book 1!

I really enjoyed this! The characters had depth and I enjoyed the world building. I also find the spicy scenes to be amazing! My biggest issues was
Spoilerthe secret baby. I cannot stand the random throw in of pregnancy. text
. I also thought there were a few moments of too much info dumping. Other than that I really enjoyed this fantasy!

This book had SO MANY wonderful ideas, but lagged a bit at times and the ending wasn’t enough for me. Set in a post-apocalypse Las Vegas, it's a fantasy/pnr with a quest and a slow burn romance. I really did like both the MC, but wanted so much more from them. Because this is a series, I’m hoping world building and character depth will improve with each book.

A strong 3.75 for all the ideas in this story, rounded up to 4.

Meh. Really and truly just meh. It got 3 stars simply because I didnt DNF but the last 20% or so was tough.

Tropes: fated mates, traveling through the woods (this is absolutely a trope), pregnancy

This is the first book I ever read by Lana Pecherczyk, and I will confess I picked up this book for the cover. The vibes really got to me, so I wanted to give it a shot even though I don't typically read indie authors.
Overall, it was a good read. I enjoyed the world (about two thousand years in the future, after a nuclear war, and fae are slowly gaining control of the world), the general plotline and the characters. I think the main reason I feel this book was good, and not great, is because I feel something was missing. I wanted a bit more: A bit more meat around the bone. I wanted more intensity from the main characters, more passion, more spice at sexy time, and I feel the conclusion was a bit rushed. I think a bit more polishing was needed to make this novel more remarkable.
I have not decided yet if I will read the following installment. I am tempted because I liked the secondary characters and I'm curious about them. I just hope they have a bit more humph. We shall see!

DNF at 76%.

It’s not terrible but the characters and plot holes were getting on my nerves. I’m sure others will thoroughly enjoy this book.
