 A very tedious prequel. Lots of good background to the world of Wool, with some interesting themes and motifs about human nature. But the character arcs weren’t very compelling, the plot dragged, and honestly I don’t feel like I needed to hear about Jimmy’s or Mission’s stories at all.

But I’m still excited to read the last book because I need to hear how the story ends.
