We get the MM combo of orc and human in this one and another facet of the supernatural world is unfolded with plenty of details regarding orcs crammed into a quick read while the greater story arc unfolds. Nervous as things are steadily getting more intense and hopeful that the barista gets his own HEA.
Minor: Death, Sexual content, Medical content, Kidnapping, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail

Imo this one was just ok. I did love the relationship between Alex and Jasper. Clio did a great job of, as always being spicy af and adding in the fluffy romance. I personal just wasn’t a fan of Jasper calling Alex boy. I can get behind the Daddy/Mommy names but for some reason that was my limit.
The main reason I think this book was just ok for me is because I was a bit peeved reading it. The last book was wlw and this one was mlm. The sex in a little risk of fall came in in ch 2 (about 10%) while in the wlw (book 7) it took until almost half way through to get to the spice. Had all of the books been like that I wouldn’t have been irked by it, but I found that this book and book 7 followed very common stereotypes about monotonous mlm and wlw relationships. Where in men have sex very quickly and women have to build up to it. And in the real world that’s not true. Women get down to it just as fast as others.
Hopefully going forward Clio’s books will stay away from those common stereotypes. But I do understand it is easy to fall into them.
And as always you come for the monster fucking and stay for the Baristas story. Can’t wait to see what is next
