I have been anxiously waiting for this book and it didn’t disappoint! Everything we wanted to know about Ash and Mia has been revealed, and what a fantastic story!

Amelia Ballentine has been in love with Ash Talmadge all her life. It was unrequited because he’s been obsessed with Delilah Greer for so many years. And yet, I have an inkling that he did have a thing for Amelia once, at the very beginning, but being her big brother’s best friend, stopped the attraction in the bud. And then he met Lila and started their on and off besotted history of 10+ years.

We’re taken on their story as Mia watches Ash break with, and reconcile with, Lila through the years. Mia has also gone through her own relations with boyfriends who have been duds, and of whom Derek (her big brother) and Ash hadn’t approved. She’s living her life on her terms, she studied fashion design in New York, worked with Elizabeth Cunningham, dated Camden Percy, then came back home to start her own boutique with her own designs. She’s been successful in business, not successful in love. And she has been a lovely friend all this time, supporting Ash all the times he’s broken because he lost Lila.

I loved that the story is told in dual times, the present and the back story when it all started. Their relation is tumultuous and we see an Ash who wants to be with Amelia but falls victim to his obsession with Lila. We want to hate Lila but we’ve seen that she’s a good person, she was just undecided. Marley and Josie are good friends, and they have this tap dance where they have to plan get togethers preventing Lila and Ash encounters. Mia is also having family problems related to her father. We’re taken on the trip as Derek had his own mess with Marley and his failed marriage with crazy Kasey. I loved reminiscing their stories!

Apart from being entertaining and steamy, this story was so full of emotional moments. We see Ash working hard to move on and see Amelia learning to love herself and demand the respect and love that she deserves. She grew into her own persona, loved Ash with all her heart but didn’t accept less than his 100%, so he had to work hard for her. Very yummy, very satisfactory, it was everything I expected and more!

I've been itching for James Asheford Talmadge IV, better known as Ash Talmadge to readers of K.A. Linde's Coastal Chronicles series, to get his own book ever since Hold the Forevers. That itch has only grown with each passing book in this series, and now, with the release of Wait for Always, which is the fourth and newest Coastal Chronicles novel, we finally have his story, and if you've followed the series, you know who he's paired with--Amelia Ballentine, his best friend's younger sister. She's always been his Mia, and Ash remains the one guy that she's loved, even when his heart belonged to someone else.

While Wait for Always is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone, especially since the author provides the history between the main characters via flashbacks. I will say, though, that having read the previous novels and being familiar with everything that happened to Ash in particular allows the reader to have a better appreciation for this character's growth. Was he perfect, especially when we first meet him in Hold the Forevers? No, but by the time he and Mia have their opportunity to finally pursue a relationship, it's clear that he's regained her trust and proven himself worthy of her love.

One of my favorite things about this book was that as much as Mia loved Ash, he had also hurt her a great deal, and not just once--although I doubt that he did so on purpose--and she wasn't quick to welcome him back into her life, nor did she immediately jump at the chance to be more than friends with him simply because he was finally ready. She knew her worth, he recognized it, and once the time was right, they took their time as they went from friends to forever. I enjoyed the heck out of Ash and Mia and their beautiful love story, making Wait for Always my favorite in the series. I'm giving this book 4.5 stars.

This is a beautifully written story that pulled at my heartstrings. I felt for these characters, even as much as I wanted to throw my kindle at them at times in frustration. I fell in love with them and their story though throughout the story and I did not want to put this book down. I was definitely pulled into this world. I love K.A. Linde's writing and she is definitely one of my favorite angsty writers. I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

Love this book!!! Goes to show you that Timing is Everything in life. When the time is wrong, everything seems as if it is unattainable. When it is right, all goes in your direction and you find your HEA!!!

For fans, this is the sweet ending we've all been waiting for...it's finally Ash and Amelia's time to shine!! For every gap, every easter egg that was dropped in prior books, Wait for Always filled in those moments and it made my heart sing.

Ash and Amelia have grown up together, been there for each other for countless moments, good and bad, and while they've both had other relationships they never dated one another. It certainly didn't mean that Amelia didn't hold a flame for Ash for years, even when he was planning to marry someone else, it never extinguished her love for him, but this story...their story shows that sometimes timing is everything and love will eventually get it right.

I don't know if it was already knowing the angsty, heart wrenching outcome of the love triangle between Ash, Cole and Lila, but this book felt less angsty. Personally, I liked knowing the outcome of that part of the story, but my heart still ached for Amelia knowing she loved Ash through the whole ordeal.

This was the perfect ending to tie up such an angsty beginning to this series and I loved it!

Another fabulous installment in the Coastal Chronicles! I’m not sure Ash was deserving of Mia, but she waited on him FOREVER.

This series has been full on awesome. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The way K.A. Linde built up my anticipation for this book, bravo. As a Team Ash-but-not-for-Lila girl myself, I have been craving Ash’s HEA since Hold the Forevers and I was not disappointed. Ash and Amelia's story is a brother's best friend, friends to lovers romance woven over many years of pining, bad timing, an undeniable connection and chemistry. I love how this book took me on a rollercoaster ride of feelings. From angst and frustrations to tenderness and love. I couldn't get enough.

I admit, I was a little worried that it would feel like Amelia was second best to Lila. But K. A. Linde did a great job addressing this by putting distance and time between them. Allowing the friendship and the feelings to strengthen to the point where they were ready for each other.

I loved Amelia. I really liked that she put herself first when it came to Ash. After heartbreak after heartbreak, she focused on herself and her business and became an even stronger, more independent person.

As for Ash. I've always liked Ash. In all his forms. The sweet version. The cocky one. I even had a soft spot for the hurting, lashing out, drinking-too-much, asshole version of Ash. But the Wait for Always Ash…*swoon*...this Ash has my heart. He’s mature and understanding. There's a sweetness to him, when he's around Amelia. I really enjoyed seeing him step up for her. This book, more than any of the other Coastal Chronicles books, I wished we had duo pov’s. I would have loved to know what he was thinking/feeling.

Wait for Always was a well written book full of heart and growth. I loved it. I'm so glad these two got their HEA. They're so clearly perfect together. I hope we get more from this series, especially if it's Nolan and Marina.

Wait for Always is the fourth book in the Coastal Chronicles series but I had no problems reading it as a standalone. It was a heartbreaking story but so worth reading. The characters and the storyline had many layers that slowly got revealed.
Amelia had loved Ash, her brother’s best friend for years but his heart was already taken. Ash was heartbroken when the woman he loved chose someone else. Will Amelia and Ash have a chance together? Will Amelia be willing to risk her heart?
I enjoyed reading this book and will certainly go back and read the previous books in the series. I highly recommend it.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Loving Ash was not the problem - finally getting the timing right is what has plagued Amelia for years. Together, friendship, apart, enemies, together, lovers all wrapped up in a wonderful story that takes place over numerous years, but one thing that has held up through out those years was that Amelia always loved Ash even though she knew she shouldn't. But in true K.A. Linde style, once they are together the stars align and there is nothing that can break them apart. It might have been a rocky and hard road to climb but in the end it was all worth it.
