A must-read for anyone. I listened to the Audible version. This is a Christian fiction classic for sure.

The plot is interesting and relatable, the author tries to bring the Biblical narrative of Hosea to life by making it a more personal story rather than being just about God and the people of Israel.
Personally, I find it too detailed when it comes to attraction and sex even though it doesn't go into specifics. It's good to keep in mind that this is the first book that she wrote after she became a Christian and before that, she wrote steamy novels. Overall, everyone can choose for themselves, her other Christian books are amazing so this author is worth reading in general.

Since I read the book, I got a conviction from the Holy Spirit about such books and have decided to not read them in the future. I regret reading it and now with a more sensitive heart to such a sensual thing, would not recommend it.

Drivel. I didn't like it. I hated the weird parts where "God" was supposedly speaking. It was cheesey. And I found Michael a creepy guy who just wanted to control "Angel." I didn't really sympathize with Michael and I just got the ick

my favorite book I've read so far! This book had me laughing, crying, and praying for a husband like Michael Hosea. Precious book.
