The author clearly has a terrible relationship with her own body and describes anyone over a size two with complete disrespect.

It was OK, but this is a very small island. How many murders can there be? I enjoyed the historical plot line, though. These are fun books to read on a trip to Mount Desert and to stock in your summer house there for guests. They give nice glimpses into island life.

Murder Most Maine” by Karen MacInerney the 3rd instalment in the "Gray Whale Inn Mystery" series. I really enjoy this series and have been slowly buying the complete series.
I love the characters of Natalie, her bff Charlene and her niece Gwen. The setting of Cranberry a Island Maine seems idyllic, and the descriptions make it so you can envision being on the island.
I enjoyed the pace thought it moved along steadily. I was so engrossed that I read it practically in one sitting and I can’t wait to read the rest! I did think I knew who was the killer early on and ended up being correct. But overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable read.

This series is really cute, and the main character is awesome. I liked the mystery, and I understand that they have to add a bit of drama, but the whole ex-fiance/romantic interest comes to the island and causes trouble was JUST done in the last book...so it was a little old. But the rest of this story was great.

Another great read by Karen MacInerney. This was probably the most enjoyable of the series.
