Definitely enjoyed this backlist elin book. Drama, sadness, lust, serious issues (illness), and a wise beyond his years 4 year old. I love that Josh became chosen family after a series of random events that connected him to “the Three.” Each female had their flaws and drama but I still was rooting for all of them. Definitely a good beach read.

2.5 stars. Ending was left open ended. I still have many questions.

I felt this needed an extra 50/ 100 pages to finish it off. I felt Vicki’s story was well written and that it only really was about her.
I didn’t know this would be mainly about her and her journey with cancer. I haven’t read any books about, or to do with cancer or grief since my mum passed 8 months ago. However this helped, it helped me in some way to see what my mum internally may have been thinking. There were pages of Vicki’s internal dialogue about things that might happen after she’s gone.
These are things I wish my mum had told me. But I was able to almost read them here.
Vicki’s wig stand was called Daphne in this book, my mum’s Mercedes was also called Daphne, I got to name her. Although trivial and somewhat silly it’s little things like these that help me deal with my grief.
So although I wanted this book to be longer I am grateful I read it and gained a new confrontation, almost acceptance with my emotions of my mum’s passing.

Three women trying to find themselves. A local man trying to find love and a find a mother figure. It was a bit long for me but I enjoyed it.
