3.5 starts rounded up. Cute for what it is. Not that original or subtle, but a nice, light palate cleanser for me.

This was a lovely, heartwarming story about a group of strangers who become friends on their commute. Iona was such a breath of fresh air - such a character! This story ran the gamut from being troubling, sweet, romantic, and touching. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I read this straight after reading Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, which I also gave 4 stars to. It's about as different a book as you can get - it's warm, cosy, relatable, and gives an image of the way we probably all wish our commute could be. All of the characters are wonderfully quirky and you know pretty much exactly what will happen at the end from the moment you start the book. If you want a book that is the equivalent of pulling on a warm and favourite jumper, snuggling under a blanket with a mug of tea and a pile of biscuits then this is it.
