This is a difficult book to rate! Reading it was distinctly uncomfortable. The art style is a bit eerie amd the story is grim. But it is a well-told story.

Me encanta con la naturalidad y crudeza que expone los miedos, inseguridades, dudas de los personajes

Hilarant tout en offrant une exploration du monde des enfants et des problématiques qu’ils rencontrent à l’école ainsi qu’à la maison

One of the best introductions to a story and its characters I've read. The way no one feels one-dimensional, the way we're able to understand and perceive the events of Punpun's life through the eyes of a kid his age.. while, as adults, knowing what really just happened. The narration is just beautiful, and I have to say it is HARD to write a kid's internal monologue without becoming unrealistic or corny, but the author manages.

Aiko and Punpun are so, so cute. And so pure... which doesn't necessarily mean "good" or "without malice". I feel like there's gonna be a VERY abrupt twist eventually.

Something I've noticed in most other stories by this author is that violence has an almost contagious nature. It spreads to those who witness and are subjected to it.

But oh well, we'll see :3
