Cute and quick novella! Kay and Ben worked well together, on screen and off. I did want Ben to tell her who he was a lot sooner, but that wasn’t the point in the story.

One thing that I really enjoyed about this story was their journey to being true to themselves. LGBTQIA rep, inclusivity, and learning and gaining confidence are main plot points in this story.

Kay and Ben’s love story is fast paced, but it doesn’t feel rushed. Honestly, I think there’s a lot packed in here for a 160pg novella. Great addition to the Citrus Pines world.

I loved Ben and Kay so much. I love their common interests and the fact that both virtually and irl they have great chemistry. Ben was so respectful of Kayleigh's sexuality and who she was attracted to. I thought the username was so clever and even as I read every detail surprised me. I was a fan of their unique career goals. The dynamic between both families was created in such a believable manner. Families are complicated and legacies are very impactful. Kay and Ben got their moments and dreams at the end and that is what matters. But honestly 1 more “bad girl” and I would lose my mind.

This is the fourth book in the Citrus Pines series and it had all the feels that made it equal parts fun, steamy, funny, and quirky. I was here for ALL OF IT!!!
Citrus Pines is a small-town and Kayleigh has always been the good girl who never draws outside the lines. She also happens to be a gamer which, is how she meets Ben online. They grow to be close friends who talk about not just games but, life things. When Ben decides to he needs a change in his life, he makes the trip to one place he can think of where he might find what that change might be. It might also happen to be where Kayleigh is. Except she doesn’t know that he’s coming.

I loved both of these characters immediately! Kayleigh was sweet and wanted to make everyone happy BUT, she was also fierce in her determination to change the things in her life that no longer made her happy. Ben, oh Ben, he was the perfect combination of charming, a little shy when it came to Kayleigh, while also being super confident in certain (secret) aspects of his life and he definitely has a way of showing Kayleigh how much of *good girl* she can be.

Oh Kayleigh, oh Ben! I just loved both of them!!! Kayleigh wanting to be the bad girl and Ben helping to boost her confidence was just so fun to see and read. I don't always love the secret/hidden identity trope, but Lila made it work so well in this novella. Loved being back in the small town of Citrus Pines!!

This book had me at the dedication:

𝐹𝑜𝓇 𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝒹 𝑔𝒾𝓇𝓁𝓈 𝓌𝒽𝑜 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝓇𝑒𝒷𝑒𝓁 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝓃𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓁𝓁𝓎 𝓀𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝒽𝑜𝓌…
…𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝒾𝓈 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓎𝑜𝓊.

Love Me Good is a sweet and steamy (🌶️🌶️) novella that brought back all the nostalgic feels of when your crush logged onto AIM, and the struggle to mesh your authentic self with the “you” everyone else sees and expects.

This was my first read from the Citrus Pines series. While it can be read as a standalone, I think I would’ve gotten more from the side characters/stories and the town had I read the previous books. That said, it’s worth a read whether you’re new to Citrus Pines or a seasoned visitor. I promise, you 𝘊𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘯 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 with Ben and Kaylee.

Big thanks and hugs to Lila Dawes for letting me be a part of her ARC team.
